ABOUT YOUR NEXT DOOR TRAVELLER
Travel planning should feel personal.
Behind every itinerary is a real conversation, careful research and someone who genuinely wants your holiday to feel right for you.
HELLO, I’M RUQAYYAH
Travel has always felt like home to me.
I’m the founder and Chief Travel Designer behind Your Next Door Traveller.
My own journey has taken me from India to Dubai, Melbourne and now the Netherlands. With a mother who worked for Emirates, travel was part of my world long before it became my work.
My engineering background taught me how to research, compare, solve problems and bring complicated details together. Travel gave those skills a more human purpose.
Over time, friends and family began coming to me when they needed a better route, a more suitable resort or help making a holiday work for everyone. Your Next Door Traveller grew naturally from those conversations.

A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
More than one place has shaped how I see travel.
India
Where my story began.
Dubai
Fifteen years and a deep family connection to travel.
Melbourne
Two years filled with new places and perspectives.
Netherlands
Home for more than six years and where the business began.
WHAT I BELIEVE
Good travel planning starts with listening.
The destination matters, but so do the people, pace and small details that make the journey comfortable.
01
No copy-and-paste itineraries
Your plan should reflect your people, priorities and preferred way of travelling.
02
Real life belongs in the plan
Children, food preferences, prayer, mobility and family pace are not afterthoughts.
03
Honest guidance matters
I’ll recommend what genuinely fits—even when that means suggesting a different hotel, route or destination.
WHAT I LOVE TO PLAN
Holidays designed around real people.
From a long-awaited family escape to an offbeat multi-country journey, every trip begins with what matters to you.
LET’S START A CONVERSATION
Tell me what you’re dreaming about.
You don’t need to have everything decided. A destination, a rough idea—or even no idea at all—is enough to begin.
PLAN MY TRIPNot sure where to begin? That’s absolutely fine.
